Madison Elementary parade

I am excited to announce that Madison Elementary School is jump-starting Memorial Day festivities with an all-school parade Friday, May 23.

The parade starts at 2 p.m. and will be held around the school block. The parade route starts southbound on Grant Street. Be sure to get there early to get a good seat anywhere on the school block because the youngest students will lead the parade. All students will be decked out in their red, white and blue finery.

The parade will feature banners, posters and mini-floats with plenty of patriotic music and those smiling student faces. The Madison Elementary School students, parents and staff are proud to honor our soldiers in this all-American way.

The public is invited to enjoy this Memorial Day celebration

Here is a summary of important facts:

When – Friday, May 23, 2014
Start time – 2 p.m.
Who – Madison students K-5, youngest students lead the parade.
