Employee Engagement Survey

There are many ways to gage employee satisfaction in the District. One of the significant ways we have found is through our Employee Engagement Survey.

This survey provides us with data that help measure the climate of the district. As important as the survey is, it is not the only way we measure climate; however, it is an important indicator.  Our goal is to achieve 100% participation. I know this seems like an unattainable goal, but my belief is extraordinary people do extraordinary things.

This is a revised survey.  You will note that it is shorter and statements that you have asked for were added to the survey and those you wanted removed are no longer there.  Please realize we could not accommodate everyone’s request.  The first fourteen questions remain questions that the Studer Group continues to use around the country.  We continue to want to see how we compare with other school districts.  The remaining questions are yours. We did ask for a comment box, but were denied.

Employee satisfaction is essential in striving for academic excellence.  The School District of Janesville continues to make strides. We are able to do this because of a dedicated and committed staff.

I sincerely value each of you and I want to hear your comments and concerns. One way to do this is through the Employee Engagement Survey.

Would I love to see all statements marked "Strongly Agree"?  Yes! More importantly, I want honest feedback. If you feel that we deserve a "Strongly Disagree" in a certain area, that's okay. We will follow up on this and work to correct it.  Please try not to have neutral responses.  If you honestly have no knowledge about something, talk to your supervisor.  They can get you up-to-date.

The Employee Engagement Survey is just one step on the "Journey To Excellence".  It is a reflection of the school and district culture, leadership and your investment in our schools.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
