Rock The School House

It’s not too late to get your tickets for the hottest show in town; I am talking about Rock The School House. We have nine bands coming together in a fundraising effort for enriching educational opportunities for our students.

The past few days I have featured one of the artists that will perform on Saturday, January 18, 2014.  Today I would like to feature Mr. Tryg Danielson who started at Parker High School in 1973 and retired in June 2012.

Tryg is excited be a part of this event and have the opportunity to make music with so many friends. He loved teaching and loved the people he worked with.

Tryg started listening to traditional “folk” music as a child when he heard his father sing Hank Williams and old Gospel songs. His father only knew six chords, but he could play half the night.   He helped him learn that music has special power. Tryg has played guitar in lots of places. Sometimes he played for money, but he mostly plays for fun. His goal for his music is to make people smile.

Come out for a great time of celebration with your colleagues. You can purchase your ticket at the JPAC box office, 408 S. Main Street. Walk-up hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m.-1 p.m.  The JPAC Box office is closed on Wednesdays. You may also charge by phone at (608) 758-0297. Tickets may also be purchased at the door the night of the event if they are not sold out.
