Another Scholarship Opportunity for School District of Janesville Alumni

The School District of Janesville has long been recognized for the proven quality of its comprehensive approach to learning. As one of Wisconsin's ten largest school districts it continues to provide a rich variety of curricular and co-curricular activities.

The School District of Janesville is pleased to announce yet another excellent scholarship opportunity, available to School District of Janesville alumni who meet the necessary listed requirements.  College students who are interested in applying for this scholarship should refer to the following information and criteria:

The Bidwell Scholarship is intended for high school graduates who are in need of funds to further their post-graduate education.  Scholarship awards of up to $1,000 are available.  Ted and Faye Bidwell of Janesville established the scholarship in 1991.  Other criteria for selection include:

·    Janesville high school graduate

·    Meritorious high school academic record

·    Demonstrated need

·    Preferential treatment for students with an honorable discharge from the U.S. Military and those  attending the UW system

For application to the Bidwell Scholarship, please contact the Instructional Services Department of the Educational Services Center, 527 S. Franklin, or call Dr. Kim Ehrhardt, Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment at 743-5131.  Selection of students will be under the discretion of the Superintendent and the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment.  Applications need to be submitted by August 13, 2012.  Interviews will be conducted the week of August 20, 2012.  Selection will be made by September 10, 2012.
