What’s Right in the School District of Janesville

What’s Right in the School District of Janesville (SDJ) is a forum to recognize outstanding performances and achievements by SDJ employees, students and schools.

Edison Celebrates Drop in Referrals and Suspensions

Edison Middle School celebrated having less office referrals and suspensions this past school year with a school-wide assembly.  Students and staff participated in games and events.  Students were able to win prizes (through numerous drawings) based on the number of  “Edison Bird Bucks” they accumulated.  “Bird Bucks” were issued for good behavior in correlation with Edison’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program.

TAGOS Leadership Academy Graduates Ten Students
TAGOS Leadership Academy’s student graduation ceremony was held on June 1, 2012 at the Educational Services Center.  Over 80 friends and family members celebrated with the ten graduates.  TAGOS Leadership Academy enrolls approximately 75 students grades 7 – 12.

Academy of International Studies Gives Students Numerous Opportunities
The students enrolled at the Academy of International Studies have taken advantage of many great opportunities this year! Some of there activities can be seen in the pictures below.

  1. I loved Edison! It was such a great school. Nothing could compare to the care teachers gave you. I will cherish all of the knowledge that I gained from the Edison Middle School staff forever. Thank you guys so much!
